Building Resilience through Artificial Intelligence for Networked Systems (BRAINS)

The pervasiveness of mission-critical networked systems in all domains requires boosting their resilience and security. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms enabled by high performance extreme computing offers the promise of predictive analytics on large collections of network system data both at the data center core and the deployed edge.   Furthermore, unique statistical properties of networked data often require new sparse formulations of traditional AI algorithms into graph neural networks.  This special session seeks contributions highlighting advances in the use of high performance computing to address problems in the network system space, building/boosting the resilience of networked systems, and the empirical study of cyber-network observables to inform AI algorithms. The session will include presentations of current research results in cyber analytics as well as potentially useful techniques from other fields.
